Brigham Young University students are seeing red – but in a good way.
If you thought the invention of green Jell-O was a game changer you better hold on tight. BYU Dining Services announced this morning that they have ended the ban of caffeinated drinks on campus. After the church clarified in 2012 that caffeine is not a part of the Word of Wisdom the requests for these drinks have increased significantly. While it has taken five years to make the change, the rejoicing over this announcement can be heard all over the country. Social media exploding over this one with GIFs, memes and tweets galore. Coke will start to be supplied on campus immediately, however, BYU Dining Services has said they will not be adding “highly-caffeinated energy drinks” to their inventory.
